    Sales Activity Report

What information is available in the online Sales Activity Report?

The Sales Activity Report provides you with up-to-date information regarding your eBook sales, giving you a good estimate of how well and where your eBook is selling. You can sort the resulting sales data in the report based on title, format, retailer, sale date, etc. You can also filter the sales data to create further customized reports, then export your filtered reports as Excel or PDF files for your personal records.

How do I run a Sales Activity Report?

From the Sales Activity Report page, which you can access from the link in the Publishing dropdown menu or in your Dashboard. The Sales Activity Report allows you to look at your book sales from multiple points of view, sorting by book title, retail channel, eBook format, and more. When you're done sorting your report, export it to a PDF or Excel file to keep for your records.

Don't see report data yet? Sales from retailers will be updated in this report monthly, usually within 60 days following the end of the month.

How long does it take for a sale to be listed in my Sales Activity Report?

The information in the Sales Activity Report is updated throughout the author earning quarter to give you an idea of how well and where your eBook is selling.

Sales made through outside retailers are updated monthly, usually within 60 days following the end of the month. The information we receive from our retail partners may reflect only the month of sale, not the actual date. That means retailer sales will show up in your Sales Activity Report as the first day of the month they are effective. For example, all of your sales made through Apple iBooks for the month of May 2015 will reflect a sales date of 5/1/2015 in the online reports.

Please note that we strive to get accurate sales information to you as soon as we can, however sales data cannot be updated in real time since external retailersApple, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc.operate under their own schedules. As a result, available data may not reflect the finalized nor the most up-to-date information.

How often is my Quarterly Author Earnings Report updated?

Because external retailers operate on their own schedule, it can take time for them to report their sales information back to us. This means it may take up to 60 days after the close of the Author Earnings quarter for sales information to be finalized and posted on your Quarterly Author Earnings Report in your publishing profile.

Will I still see an Author Earning Statement if there were no sales in a quarter?

Once the statement for a quarter in which you have made no sales has been finalized, you will see the reporting period for that quarter available in the dropdown report menu with $0.00 indicated in parenthesis. If you choose to run a report for a quarter in which there were no sales, you will see a message that says "No sales reported for the period selected."

    Payment Remediation Report

What information is available in the online Payment Remediation Report?

In the Payment Remediation Report you will see any remediations currently credited to your account. Remediations are payments made to you that are outside the normal author earnings payment schedule. It is not uncommon for this report to show no remediations; that just means all of your payments have been made per the normal author earnings payment schedule.
