I tend to write in the fantasy genre. I really find so much beauty in the written word--both reading it as well as writing it. I find that certain books stay with you forever, stories you just can't get out of your head, that become such an essential part of your life, you can't imagine anything else. There are so many stories like that for me, and I want to keep reading more and more of them. I love writing because it allows me to create something that can linger with me until I'm living and breathing the story and the characters. I can't imagine my life without reading and writing--it is just essential to who I am.
