In my writing, I tend to lean toward the literary, having grown up with a great many classics. However, I am a huge spec-fic fan, and thus my genre fiction has a largely literary flavor to it, because I am not one for writing commercial fiction.
In my reading, I like a lot of things. I can read commercial, genre fiction, but I tend to gravitate toward the pieces that question my own notions of the world or pose an issue that I can thoroughly get involved in.
