Hi Everyone,

I'm Trudi, a native Brit and I've just moved to Book Country.

I'm a big fan of crime and historical fiction and I'm currently writing my first novel, a romantic mystery set during the First World War.

I found Book Country when I was searching for a new writing community. The site I'm currently a member of is mainly for teenagers and writers of fan fiction so I didn't quite fit in. From what I've seen of Book Country so far it's much more my speed and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Trudi! Nice to see you here! I'm brand new too. It's bright and scary.

*quivers*

How are you getting on?

Hi Trudi (and also C M),

Welcome to Book Country! I hope you find that it's a supportive community full of writers who are interested in connecting with you and helping to workshop your book. Thanks for jumping into the discussion forums -- they're a fun place to hang out and get tips.

Nevena Georgieva, Book Country's assistant, wrote a great guide for new members: bit.ly/bc_new.

If you need anything, I'm happy to help. You can find me here, on Twitter (brandilarsen), and through email: brandi at bookcountry dot com.

Best,
Brandi
Book Country Director
