Only 272 words today (plus an edit of 1800). I need to get up 30 minutes earlier tomorrow. When do y'all write?

Hi Chris! ~waves~

Welcome to the community. My name is Nevena and I am the Book Country assistant. Congrats on your progress!

Are you part of The Summer Writer's Club? There is a few designated discussions for people participating in the challenge:

A "hangout" where you can introduce yourself:

https://www.bookcountry.com/Community/Discussions/Default.aspx?id=141694

A discussion where you can check in with your word count on a daily basis:

https://www.bookcountry.com/Community/Discussions/Default.aspx?id=142126

A thread where you can post excerpts from your work as you write:

https://www.bookcountry.com/Community/Discussions/Default.aspx?id=142127

I recommend that you participate in these discussions and don't start new ones so we keep the conversation about the writing challenge in one place. Of course, if you want to talk about anything else with the BC community, feel free to start new discussions and make friends!

I will eventually lock the discussion you started here because we don't want to confuse people. Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm a night person.  I do some of my best writing late at night.  The house is quiet, no phones are ringing, I don't have to be doing anything else.  I do try to do a little bit each day, so that it's pretty much become a habit now.

Hi, @creativemind99--welcome to Book Country! We're glad you're here with us, and excited for you to share your work. We love it when new members introduce themselves on the Discussion Boards!

Here's a video about Book Country that works as a great intro to using the site: http://www.bookcountry.com/Publish/HowItWorks/Videos/WelcomeToBookCountry.aspx

And here are our FAQ (http://www.bookcountry.com/Help/) and our Community Guidelines (http://www.bookcountry.com/CommunityGuidelines.aspx), which will help you as you navigate the site.

We ask that members introduce themselves in the Member News & Announcements Discussion Board, so that it is easier for all of us to find each other. I am afraid that it will get buried here.

Here's the link where you can repost this introduction:

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you on Book Country! Let me know if you need any help getting to know the Community!

Lucy
