I like many people enjoy romance in the stories I read, but I don't like the ( I have seen you only once and now I love you so much that I would Kill myself if anything happened) sort of romance. Don't get me wrong I like the passion and devotion in those stories, but couldn't the falling in love part take more time?
I also Like romances better when the main charterer's love is not the focal point of the story.The Sookie Stackhouse books are a great example of that. Sookie and her Vampire boyfriend Bill, do sex it up a lot, but a majority of the book is about what ever crazy adventure/ mystery the Sookie is involved with.
Otherwise I really enjoy stories that involve adventure, and often comedy. Fantasy and syfy books are also favorites of mine.
