About VanHeyden's Reading & Writing

I wrote my first story in eighth grade, then I got more interested in tennis. In my home were leather bound volumes of the Great Stories of The World and the Stories of Edgar Allan Poe. Stories I read more than once. Later in life I read and enjoyed Science Fiction from Herbert, Hubbard, Crieghton, and Historical Fiction from Michener, fiction from Grisham and Cussler. These great writers definitely had a predictably and purposefully good effect on my writing efforts. Now with ten books published, two self-published I plan to continue writing until I have communicated everything that I want to. Meanwhile, I will concurrently avail myself to writers who are just getting started in the capacity of a coach, and that way I will have covered all the dynamics of the writing art.
