I have spent decades reading and studying the ancient world, especially the Roman Empire, and wrote a novel called Caracalla; and lived on the island of Crete many years. There I spent months and years reading from my 20, 000 volume library, but I was forced to sell it. Came back to USA in 1984 and have been living in an old camper van I call Chi Qah Elezah, usually camping out in the desert southwest when not living in SF.
