My love of writing stems from my love affair with reading. As a child, I'd watch my single-parent father devour book after book. I think that on some level, he was like some kind of bookish super hero in my child's mind. From the moment I understood what reading was, I was fascinated by it. The idea that a few words on a page can be a gateway to another world is one of life's beauties. My tastes in writing mirror those of my reading - Urban Fantasy, YA Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance. My favorite authors in those genres? Karen Marie Moning (UF), Suzanne Collins (YA Fantasy), and Kresley Cole (PNR). On a personal level, I'm a huge Fantasy dork. I pretty much know the LOTR movies line by line! I'm also a fan of that bespecled boy wizard...you know the one. I have 2 cats: Bellatrix and Rigel(named after stars in Orion). They've been kind enough to let live in THEIR Atlanta apartment. I'm a HUGE Backstreet Boys fan...seriously, if you know what KTBSPA means, we'll be besties!
