Sex in NA?

I'm working on a NA novel right now and starting to think about love scenes. Obviously NA is a bit more involved than YA when it comes to sex but
I'm curious how descriptive to make these? And how many to include?

Thanks!

Well, I haven't read a lot of NA novels, but I figure that so long as you don't get to . . . explicit (such as getting so descriptive that you know what's happening to a T) . . . you should be okay. And there should be a meaning to the sex rather than just sex for sex's sake. And as for how many scenes you can have? Well, I'd have to say follow your own intuition.

Hope that helps.

Hey AndreaRenee--fantastic question! And welcome to Book Country! Way to jump right in--I love it.

Have you checked out the New Adult Landmark Titles on Book Country? Reading through some of those might help you get a better sense of what readers expect from the genre in terms of sex scenes.

You should also check out some of the New Adult works-in-progress on Book Country, like books by Alex Rosa and Jayden Abello. They're working out these issues in their writing, too!
