Short Bio:
In my latest query letter, I described myself as a disillusioned civil servant who writes to keep from losing her damn mind. I write women's fiction. I write character studies. I think books should have a point. I prefer a good story with likable characters over clever plots, gimmicky ideas and lofty writing styles. I write book reviews for The Columbus Dispatch, but I never write negative reviews for newspaper publication. I write reviews for books that I want other people to read. Books I believe in and want to pass on. I am a dog person, a mother, a wife, and I think, a really good friend. At least that's what my friends tell me. It is my hope to make a second career out of writing because the first one has been a huge disappointment and my retirement plan includes supplementing my pension.
