My age is greater than the maximum Arizona speed limit and less than the maximum Texas speed limit. I've retired from teaching, counseling, managing, and 20 years writing for magazines. I wrote for Glamour, Nature Conservancy, WSJ Online, Phoenix Home & Garden, Scottsdale Magazine, Plateau Journal, and more. My book Traveling Indian Arizona won AZ Authors Association award for best published non-fiction, 2007. I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. I love nature and the outdoors, archaeology and adventure travel. I research Arizona history for fun (and sometimes profit) and also appreciate the cultures of the 22 Native tribes in this state.
