Short Bio:

After thirty years in the construction/property management field, including a 5 year stint as Innkeeper of an ocean front B&B, I walked away to fulfill a lifelong dream, become a writer. I started reading The Hardy Boys at age seven; I could always count on getting four or five copies at Christmas and have been an avid reader since. I wrote two magazine articles for the now defunct 'Cycle' magazine back in the late 80's. I have four completed manuscripts, writing two separate series; the Sgt. Marvin Styles assignments and the Jonathan Steele adventures. 'The President's Weapon' was published this past Jan. of 2015, and is enjoying tremendous E-Book sales on Amazon.com. The sequel, 'Dead Water' will be published this fall. Black Kayak and Relentless Pursuit will follow. I love animals and enjoy doing volunteer work, which I am able to parlay my passion for motorcycles into. I walk seven and a half miles every morning faithfully. Music and laughing help keep me sane. Thank you.

About Russ Snyder's Reading & Writing

Up until I began my writing career, and thus the promotion of my work, I read an average of two novels per week. Now I'm lucky if I am able to read one every two weeks. I am a bit of a dinosaur and prefer to turn paper pages but also recognize how E-Books have so drastically changed our world of publishing, mostly for the good I believe. Besides I spend enough time in front of a computer so a print copy is a nice break from the digital world. I read for pleasure, separating that from my required research. I tend to gravitate towards a good thriller or mystery, but don't limit myself to those two genres. A good medieval story about knights and dragons will capture me, along with a good western. I particularly enjoy a good 'photography' book, as photographs fascinate me. One of my most prized possessions is my complete collection of the Calvin and Hobbes illustrated books featuring the comic strip characters. Thank you for your time to read this.
