Short Bio:

I live in a beautiful part of the Heart of England. I started writing fiction about ten years ago. I've completed and self-published two books on Kindle. 'The Beaumont Bequest' is a ghost story. Windhaven Loop is soft sci-fi timeslip. I decided to stick to conventional genres for these first books as learning to construct a story is hard enough on its own, but for future works I intend to let my imagination rip. I'm currently working on a light-hearted fantasy series with a futuristic setting and am having a lot of fun building the world and developing the larger-than-life characters that inhabit it. I've also written a few short fairy tales. I love drawing and would love to be able to illustrate some of my stories, especially the more off-the-wall ones.

About Inkventure's Reading & Writing

I'll read just about anything if it's gripping and well-written but I prefer stories with a paranormal, sci-fi or techno twist. I like a meaty plot with lots of action, inventiveness, adventure, suspense, mystery and intrigue. I'm not keen on misery, gruesomeness or noir. I prefer a contemporary voice but will read stories with an historical setting. My main inspiration has been unforgettable classic stories with a fantasy element, such as 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' and 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'.
