Short Bio:
My love affair with romance novels began at age 19 after the death of my beloved grandmother. I always knew of Grandma Alice’s “trashy” books. I remember them arriving by the dozens from various book club subscriptions. There were always several on the end table beside her chair, and they were packed tightly onto the shelves of bookcases. It was only after Grandma Alice passed away and I was helping my aunt clean out the house that we discovered just how many of them she had. According to my aunt, Grandma Alice read between five and ten of them each month over about 50 years, and we doubt she ever threw out a single one! Intrigued by my grandmother’s fascination with them, I picked one out of the pile, and by the time I finished it, I realized that I had inherited this love of the romance genre. The family readily agreed to let me be the “keeper of the trashy library”. My love of the genre and the connection it provides with my grandmother has led me to begin writing a novel of my own.
