Short Bio:

Hi, I'm Claire. I am a writer, poet, playwright and occasional artist. I prefer writing mysteries and thoughtful action stories in an alternate future or fantasy setting. I write for the mid grade readers to young adult about topics from mermaids to Santa to mice learning how to write. I have a collection of poetry called TOSKA, the Art of Misery scheduled for release to ebook in May 2015. I wrote a lot in my youth with several pieces published in local papers and magazines. in High School and College, I was on newspaper staff, then somehow I got confused as an adult and lost my passion for practicality. Now I am back on track. I am interested in networking with beta readers, editors, proof readers, social media publicists, web masters and of course other writers. Find me on twitter @clairecount or www.clairecount.com Nice to meet you.

Shorter to say what I don't read... I don't care for realism - too much of that in everyday life. Mysteries/thrillers that are too real and contemporary. I like to sleep at night.
