I enjoy reading because it is the best pastime I had ever found. I started out my reading in my schools with Enid Blyton, Dickens, Victor Hugo, Jack London, R.L.Stevenson, Edgar Allan Poe and the lot. In my teens I found Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy and they have remained my idols ever since. When I was completing my graduation I discovered Proust and I felt as if those impressions would never go away - the impact of memory seemed so deeply instilled there - and it felt as if he would be there till I take my last breath. I loved many other writers, both old and new, at many periods of my life and they will be my friends forever.
I enjoy writing as it is an outlet for emotions for me. I especially like to compose, in particular, a poem on the spur of the moment. And it usually involves what I feel at that particular moment and where I channel my thoughts actually. There is no prior planning involved.
