Short Bio:

Professionally, I'm an 8th grade English/theatre teacher and have been for just under 10 years. After seeing what my students were reading and not being thrilled with some of it, I took Maya Angelou's advice and wrote the book I wanted to see in their hands. My husband and I live on my family's property in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania, and I love the life we are able to live in that rural of a setting. We have a young son who keeps me busy when I'm not grading or reading/writing.

I enjoy reading most genres. Everything but contemporary romance - I can do romance from other time periods or places, but, for some reason, I struggle to invest myself in those particular romances. Also, although I enjoy reading "high" fantasy, I have not read tons of it, so I would probably not be a great editor there. I'll try anything once, though! My heart belongs to the YA/NA genre as well as fantasy. If you can mesh the two, you're my dream read. I lean towards the longer book - I enjoy complexity in character and plot. Given the choice, I'm cracking open a doorstop of a novel. Not to say that I don't also enjoy an 80, 000 worder, it's just not what I gravitate towards on the shelf.
