I've been reading hundreds of books a year for at least ten years, and I read an eclectic mix of books, mostly fiction. I like the classics, and literary fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy. I don't read romance (except one historical fiction romance, the Outlander series) or westerns (except a couple by Cormac McCarthy). My fave author is Stephen King, followed closely by Charles Dickens and JRR Tolkein, George RR Martin, Bryce Courtenay, Amy Tan, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, and too many to name. I read Stephen King's Dark Tower series and Charles Dickens' entire bibliography once a year.
