Short Bio:

Casually compulsive and an enthusiastic agnostic, I am also a recovering IT geek. I retired early to return to my first calling. I'm making the transition from technical/academic writing to fiction and satire. My main challenges right now are getting out of multitasking-induced ADD and getting my right brain to participate again after all those years of comfortable retirement.

About Eric Nelson's Reading & Writing

I read voraciously: science fiction (e.g. Banks, Dick, Gibson, Stross); espionage thrillers (e.g Le Carre, (gave up Clancy after Red Rabbit)); meta-fiction (e.g. Barth, Pynchon); literary (e.g. Borges, Nabokov, Gass, Rushdie, Woolf); humor (e.g. Thurber, Robbins); non-fiction about science and technology, political and financial corruption and some criticism and philosophy (no self-help, thank you very much).

Vladimir Nabokov
Iain M. Banks
Favorite Books:
Catch 22
