I am a working, full time musician, singer/songwriter. I have three CDs to my credit and am well respected locally. I have also wirtten, fiction, memoir and poetry most of my life and have a hndful of publishing credits. My day job for 27 years was as a mental health/substance abuse/prevention counselor at various hospitals, treatment centers and the county school district.

I prefer Beat/late 20th Century/Skidrow (Bukowski) Poetry. I enjoy short story collections (Raymond Carver, Thom Jones). When it comes to novels, I lie hard boiled detective fiction and literary fiction. For the past five years, I recommend Roberto Bolano's "Savage Detectives" and "2666" to absolutely everyone. I consider "2666" a masterpiece and I intend to reread it once a year for the rest of my life. I am indiscriminate in my memoir reading. I enjoy them very much regardless of their quality.
