Short Bio:
I'm an English and American History teacher, husband, and father of twins. I'm a dedicated Christian whose writing tends to explore questions surrounding the fringes of my faith—doubt, death, ghosts, devils, angels, legends, the paranormal, war, suffering, cosmic coincidences, and the interconnectedness of all things. My current novel, Pink Souls, is a paranormal-psychospiritual-military-court-drama-horror-thriller. So, yeah. There's that. I'm also in the early stages of another novel, For a Reason, that seeks to explore the question of why bad things happen to good people, but from a perspective that is at once affirming in its Christianity and yet realistic in its Book-of-Job-ness. I enjoy black humor and taking an unblinking look at life. And then I'll have some coffee and/or go to church and feel that everything can be right. And then Monday hits. I believe, but I'm not easy-of-faith, and I try to explore that in my writing. I detest falseness, particularly my own.
