Short Bio:
I am a 71-yr old mother of 5 children and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. I went in the Marine Corps in 1960 where I took up drinking and was an alcoholic for the next 20 yrs. On June 1, 1981, I went to a 12-step program and got sober. I just celebrated 32 yrs. of sobriety and now I want to share my life experience, strength, and hope with other women who feel like I used to feel. I want to encourage other women to hold on and reach out for the help they need. In my book, I want to share not only the downfalls I had in my life but also how God has helped me change my life for the better. I am not where I want to be but thank God I'm not where I used to be. I have buried two daughters and not drank. That is a miracle in itself. I joined this site to seek help in writing and publishing my book. I am on Social Security and funds are very very limited.
