Short Bio:
I work as a psychotherapist, primarily with artists, gifted children, and people with addictive behaviors. I am also a writer, photographer, and digital artist.
I have published several non-fiction books and have a backlog of two unfinished novels and one unfinished non-fiction book. My current project is a book of digital images I call Flower Mandalas, each matched to a concept, a relevant quotation, and an essay. My intent is to distill what I have learned from 60 years on the planet, 20 years since surviving a near-fatal event, and 10 years as a psychotherapist.
My motivation in creating the mandala images was to heal from a decade of physical and emotional trauma, the consequence of that near-fatal event. Listening to what the mandalas were telling me led me out of a dark place and, indirectly, to my decision to abandon a PhD in English I was pursuing at the time and become a psychotherapist.
