I'm an unashamed reader of 20th and 21st century literary fiction, everything from Sons and Lovers by D H Lawrence to Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie. I admire most of Ian McEwan, s and A S Byatt's work and some of Martin Amis's. However I did devour The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins in record time, so that kind of fantasy attracts me also.
I read classic scifi by Ray Bradbury, Philip K Dick, Kurt Vonnegut and Robert Heinlein. I also like Ursula Le Guin's Hainish Cycle of novels.
