Xen Sanders is a 34-year-old Chicago-based writer and artist. He’s been a book editor, a cover artist, a literary agent intern, a corporate data analyst, a really bad bassist in a really bad rock band. With a focus on diversity in fiction, he writes dark science fiction with a supernatural bent – seeking to tell stories that explore and push the boundaries of race, culture, gender, and sexuality.
That’s a very long way of saying he’s not fond of stereotyping, gender norms, or whitewashing.
He also finds a way to sneak something about Kowloon Walled City in every story, whether it’s just one mention or the story is set in some version of the city.
And he’s really bad at these third-person bios. So he’s going to stop typing now and go watch season 5 of Fringe.
