Effie's first novel (working title: A Twist of Fate) is a comic YA fantasy. When a hapless magician and a runaway noblewoman accidentally bring to life a rug made from the strings of the three fate, they open up the world to paradox and chaos. As they try to save the world, they must deal with egotistical gods, violent hamadryads, a demon who knits, and a very mysterious ostrich.
Effie's short stories range from heart-tugging fantasy to satirical science fiction.
