I have been a voracious reader all my life. Learning early on that a good book can take you to all corners of the earth and put you in all kinds of situations. Reading has been my life line and source of knowledge. Since I first learned to read at age 4, being the distant fifth child of 7 siblings, the older ones taught me to read at an early age. Because I was alone so much, books became my source of comfort. I could get lost for hours in a good book and put myself in the company of the characters, sharing what they were involved in.. My reading has covered a wide range of topics but Daniel Steele, Brenda Joyce, Stephen King and Nora Roberts are some of my favorites. I love the historical novels, romantic light reading and action packed suspense novels. A good book should be able to catch your attention and hold it all the way through. I just hope that I can accomplish this with some of my own thoughts and dreams. If I can just keep my mind on my writing, perhaps I can succeed.
