I have always created whole original stories in my head and then forget they are just that, a story I made up. You have no idea how embarassing it is to describe a book you read to a friend only to realize later that it was not an actual book but one of your "made up" stories.
I love reading a good romance if it also has a great subplot. . . ie . . . Christine Feehan is a master at this type of writing.
