It wasn't until adulthood that Dorothy rediscovered the power of words, and now they are her solace, her greatest weapon, her portal, and her best friend.

About RubyRainbow's Reading & Writing

In a town off the coast of California lives a girl who dreams she is both a witch & a mermaid; she is five, sixteen, & eighty-two years old; her name is Kat, Yukari, Ben, & Za'gaelf; she is Victorian, she is Martian, & she is a birch tree. Dorothy Reading has never wanted for imagination. Since childhood, stories consumed her, both those she read & those she created. But as she grew, Dorothy drifted away from books to set sights on the stage, not returning to the literary world until her early twenties, when a run in with a popular book & its vast community allowed her to explore what she had once abandoned. Though Dorothy will never give up on her dream of setting Hollywood on fire, words have reclaimed their place in her heart & inspired her to put imagination to paper. She draws from life as an actress to infuse her work with emotion & action, just as she draws from reality to mold fiction. And after a hard day's writing, there's always time for a midnight game of Capture the Flag.
