Having spent several of his childhood years in Zambia Moon enjoys the books of Wilbur Smith as he feels they capture the spirit and rhythm of that great continent.
His reasons for writing the cancer club are very personal. His mother died whilst Moon was only eleven and he has no real recollection of her personality and wishes he could have known her as an adult.
Moon has two grown up children and has finally found the time to begin writing - or perhaps he has simply ran out of excuses to keep putting it off.
