I am currently working on two very different manuscripts, an adult contemporary and a YA pre-dystopian. The adult manuscript is the most difficult thing I've written in my life. I've been working on it for 8 years...not because the story isn't there, but because the story is so deep and intense, I can't work on it for more than a few days at a time.
I love the all out crazy writing madness of NaNoWriMo, and two of my completed manuscripts were drafted during November NaNo's. I even convinced my kids to write along with me, and this year a close friend joined too.
I started reading when I was 4, and have not stopped since. When possible, I eat books for breakfast, lunch, supper and bedtime snacks. With a frequently absent military hubby I have enough reality in my life so when I pick up a book I want to be entertained, not shocked or depressed.
