It's strange, I guess, but I love reading non-fiction better than fiction but write only fiction. The reason being is that I dream all of my stories in living color, like a feature length movie so to speak, and feel slightly guilty that there was not a whole lot of struggle involved with coming up with the original idea. I heard the author of the Twilight series say that she had dreamed her ideas so I don't feel as bad. I guess since it was my dreams then I own the creative process as well. Now transferring it from my mind to a publication will be the hard part. My most favorite memories during my 30 years as a public school teacher in Ky. were of my students always being winners in the district Young Authors program at the end of the year. It gave me a feeling of pride, that under my guidance, these grade school students accomplished this honor at such a young age. I often wonder if I will live to see any of them become famous authors.
