It's hard to believe, but I taught to read not long after I mastered walking. The written word is as natural to me as breathing. I can not immagine my world without books. To be truthful, I don't want to!
It is natural then that my interest in literature flowed from reader to writer. I think the first book I ever wrote is still buried somewhere in my house. It wasn't bad for a six year old.
College sidetracked me into the world of journalism. There wasn't much time to think about the stories I wanted to create and share. I was too busy chasing everyone else's story.
The time as at last come for me to do what I have always wanted. I don't know if I have the "great novel" in me. I know I have the ability to write something others will love reading. Let's start there and see where it goes!
