When I write short stories or long formed works of fiction, I escape into worlds of sci-fi/fantasy. I have always loved having an overactive imagination and made sure I did not lose it after reaching puberty. When I work on plays or screenplays, I am as home grown as I get- focusing on small town or inner city all American stories. These stories are inspired by either the community that I grew up in or the ones my parents were raised in/rebelled within.
I love history and strongly believe it is important for understanding our present and in creating our future. But I assure you that I am not one to live in the past.
