I taught writing for most of my career and currently enjoy reading novels and non-fiction work related to the war. I also enjoy reading mystery novels. My favorite author would be Tim O'Brien, THE THINGS THEY CARRIED. His style reminds me of conversations with friends from the past. I enjoy a good story that brings me into it and causes me to be able to experience the action of the story as well as the impact of the story. Story telling is most important in my approach to my writing and my reading experience. I value a good story teller more than anything.
