Short Bio:

I am a retired Captain with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department in California. I spent thirty years working there - had many great assignments - including being a major crimes/homicide investigator. I learned the importance of good writing because much of what I wrote was scrutinized by the courts. After retirement, I have spent the last ten years pretty much as a full time writer. I am basically "addicted" to the writing process - just love it!

I read whatever I can get my hands on from modern writers to the classics. I have four published books all of which are non-fiction. I have self-published, subsidy published and used a traditional publisher for these works. I am currently finishing up a collection of short stories entitled From Darkness Into Light. Ma Duncan is my most "main-stream" work. It is the incredible story of the last woman executed in California. I co-authored a screenplay based on the book which has been optioned to a Hollywood producer. Hope to see it made soon. I also have four other screenplays in circulation with my agent and of course, I am hoping for another option.
