"Scottsdale Blues" was the first book in the Lenny Clapton Mystery series. Lenny, a successful blues guitarist, and his bassist sidekick, Timbo Jackson become involved in helping to solve a murder that occurs in a local Indian casino where they work. A friend is wrongly accused of the crime, and they jump in to help. Along the way, they descend into a world of blackmail, organized crime, payoffs and kidnapping. And through it all Timbo manages to keep his foot firmly in his mouth. "Penasco Blues" is the second book in the series, and is scheduled to be published in June, 2012. Lenny and his beautiful wife Kate move to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, and are asked again for their help when the son of their local pastor is accused of rape. Timbo can't wait to play detective again, and is convinced that this time he should lead the investigation. And once again mayhem follows with kidnappings, mass public rallies, boycotts, and a "shootout at the Oyster Corral".
