I was raised in an age of new stuff. New words, new music, new internet, new countries, new ways of thinking. My writing reflects this. I try to tell stories that nobody has heard before, or tell old stories in ways nobody has heard before. My novels are dreams that didn't pan out in my head that nevertheless necessitated an ending. Most of them are also love stories. I'm cheesy like that.
I write fiction and fantasy because it's absolutely crucial to tell the stories that can never be. They better teach us about what is.
I read anything contemporary. I love stuff that's fresh and new. I'm also a sucker for a good dystopian novel. I will always love zombies.
