I began writing a few years ago as a result of my children. During our nightly ritual of bedtime reading, I became frustrated with the complete lack of quality of the books we read. I then made a decision to write my own stories for my two boys. Having done so, I can honestly say they didn't rightly care for them. So much for thinking I could do better. The experience, however, seared into me. I began thinking of other stories to write and one particular concept just kept on snowballing. Before I knew it, not only did I have a novel; I had the first of what would be a trilogy for a teen/ adult epic fantasy. I expect to have the final draft of book one up on Book Country in the summer of 2012. I spent my adolescence and college years reading a lot of fiction and classic works. I now read more philosophy, history, and works related to policy or politics. My novel reflects a fusion of both influences.
