I am a first time writer, although I have been originating story concepts and narratives for some time. I enjoy a broad range of fiction and non-fiction but have always harboured a soft spot for good, old fashioned thrillers and this is the genre that I have chosen to focus on for my initial project.
I have set my novel in the world of intelligence operations, a functional rather than aesthetic choice. This canvas gives me greater scope to explore the themes of betrayal, love, futility that seem to bedevil so much of the modern world.
