I love fantasy, and always have. I love the freedom of speculative fiction, the ability to make up anything and run with it. You can't ask for a better blank canvas... or a harder genre to write well in.
Though I read fantasy primarily, I'm fond of a good story in general. I'm especially fond of intrigue of any kind, and my bookshelves span from a vast store of quirky nonfiction to Shakespeare, historical fiction to soft scifi, classics to young adult, literature to literary junkfood.
