About KatesQuill's Reading & Writing

I write down the dreams that come to me whilst I'm sleeping; my tales encompass a wide range of genres, from fantasy to horror, taking in erotica and historical romance in between. My writing is inspired by many things. I owe a lot of my passion for literature to my father, who from a very young age was thrusting copies of the classics into my hands; at six, my favourite bedtime story was the Hobbit. By the time that I was ten, I was eagerly devouring Jane Austen and Bram Stoker, and the wide-eyed wonder that I felt then is something that still inspires me now. Often, I draw on real-life experiences such as my travels in Russia and the years that I spent immersed in the live music scene, but some of my tales can be attributed to nothing but my mischievous muse walking hand-in-hand with a glass of wine come bedtime.
