I’ve recently been reading lots of mysteries, crime novels and thrillers. I'm getting myself in the mood for writing my own mystery/crime/thriller novels and short stories. The authors I've been reading include; Ruth Rendell, Rebecca Tope, Ian Rankin, Reginald Hill, James McCreet, Val McDermid and Kate Atkinson. Having enjoyed doing a course on TV script writing, I would also like to try and write a comedy script for TV. I wouldn't mind writing a non-fiction book, based on history or art history. They are both subjects I could happily research all day and studied as part of my degree. Writing poetry is something I do for fun. I find it a relaxing hobby and a quick way of getting my thoughts down in words. One of my poems was chosen to be published on the BBC website. However, my ambition is still to finish the many short stories I've started and complete a novel.
