I read just about every genre, except Sci Fi. (I know, I know). In addition to my academic writing, I have started a fiction series that is a combination of chic lit with academic mystery. I've just published my first book, Samantha Dawson and the Mystery of the Apple, on Smashwords and am half way through the second. After a difficult year of teaching really hard things, I spent a summer reading chic lit and wondered why it couldn't be smarter. So that's what I'm trying to so.
