First and foremost, I am a reader; and my fondness for writing stemmed from that passion. The Harry Potter series was my first love, but was soon followed by fantasy classics like the Lord of the Rings and The Last Unicorn. Later I stumbled upon the Ender series by Orson Scott Card which began my foray into the science fiction world. These two genres are where the greater portion of my writing resides, though I do have the occasional plot bunny that springs out from left field.
I also have a fondness for classics like War of the Worlds, Sherlock Holmes, and the Scarlet Letter.
However, while my love of reading may refine my writing to a certain extent, it also greatly affects my writing style, which may be a good thing to some; but it makes it quite impossible to find a style of my own. This is where this site comes in. It is extremely difficult to discern on my own, whether I am unconsciously copying something I've read in the past. So, I am hoping that you can do that for me.
