About Elizabeth Richards's Reading & Writing

I'm an omnivorous reader who craves the seduction of a good story. There is little better than settling back with a cup of tea and the conviction that an author is going to transport you. One of my favorite authors from childhood was Rosemary Sutcliff who wrote historical novels for middle school reader. I lived in Germany, income of the same areas where her stories are set and I grew up with memories of not only my times but also the memories of people and cultures from centuries ago. I remember trying read Jane Austin the same time and stalling out until I tried again in college. Pride and Prejudice is one of the few books I've read enough to memorize the dialogue. My current reading list includes Incognito, George RR Martin, Riches to Rust, Story, and John McPhee.
Favorite Writers:
Rosemary Sutcliff
Bernard Cornwell
Anne Perry
Favorite Books:
Pride and Prejudice
