I enjoy almost all types of books and writers. I really don't care for romance type novels, but the rest is all good. Historical, Supernatural, Scifi, Fantasty. You name it.
I started reading at an early age, and I quickly graduated from Richard Scarry and Dr. Suess to adult books. I started writing my own stories as soon as I was able to write.
Some of my most influential writer's have been Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Terry Brooks and Anne McCaffrey. They taught me that an imagination is not limited and that I can use my imagination to create my own world to escape into...if only for a moment.
My dream would be for me to make a modest living out of writing full time and to tell Corporate America where they can stick their rules. But being an insanely rich author wouldn't be bad either.
