About Sia's Reading & Writing

I read fantasy nearly exclusively and that's reflected in my writing. One of the reasons I love the genre so much is the ability to create new cultures and magical systems - world-building is definitely my favourite part of writing a story, although my plots tend to become very big and intricate as well. I’m a bit of an idealist, though; I think that, since a good book can change the world, writers have a responsibility to try and make that change a good one. I hope that’s reflected in my writing too. Reading wise - I love original and unique worlds with complicated plotlines, something I can really sink my teeth into!
