My academic background is in English literature, especially Medieval English and Celtic literatures and languages. My dissertation is about the Celtic and fairly folklore connections between Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Sir Orfeo, Medievali Irish and Medieval Welsh texts.
I write about medieval lit, Celtic studies, contemporary fantasy, Tolkien, food, and technology. My most recent books are about the iPad.
I'll read almost anything, but am partial to SF and F, history, and things Celtic, medieval, and mythological. I'm currently working my way through a Stephen King list, and looking at the overlapping genres of mystery, detective, thriller and suspense.
